GOOD SPORT

October 18, 2005 - Dear Fans:

On behalf of the entire Colorado Eagles organization, I want to personally thank you for your continued support of the Colorado Eagles.

I also want to take a moment to advise you of a comprehensive action plan called Good Sport that the Colorado Eagles have developed in partnership with Anheuser-Busch Inc. and American Eagle Distributing Co. The strength of Good Sport is that it encourages fans to act responsible and respect the rights of others at the game. Good Sport is our pledge to you that we intend to maintain the wholesome, family atmosphere of the Colorado Eagles hockey at the Budweiser Events Center.

Good Sport focuses on three areas that are key to influencing fans to act responsibly. These three areas are:
1. Communicating a series of messages to spectators that prompt attitude changes and remind spectators of the importance of responsible behavior.

2. Training for concession workers and security personnel. These training sessions are designed to prevent problems before they happen. For example, “TIPS for Concessions” training enhances concession vendor skills to recognize signs of impending intoxication in customers and respond in a non-confrontational manner.

3. Safe-Ride. To combat drunk driving, Safe-Ride includes such components as designated driver and Alert Cab program. The majority of the thousands of fans who attend a typical Colorado Eagles game are responsible drinkers, but in those isolated instances where it becomes necessary, Budweiser Event Center staff will encourage customers to have a designated driver take them home or the staff will put them in a cab.

Good Sport is a rock-solid program that will enhance your experience at the Budweiser Events Center. I encourage you to be aware of the signs, messages and announcements that will prominently promote Good Sport. For Good Sport to be a success, the Colorado Eagles and the Budweiser Event staff need you to be part of the team. Together, we can ensure that the Colorado Eagles, good sense, and good times continue to be the feature attractions at the Budweiser Events Center.

Very truly yours,

Ralph Backstrom
