For those of you looking for a great-tasting, energy-boosting beverage, Monster energy drink is a great choice. Depending on your location, Monster may be a hard drink to find. You may have to go to multiple locations to find your sought after beverage. Many large gas stations have a nice variety of energy drinks, and you may get lucky if you stumble upon the right one.

Caged within a large, 16 oz. can, Monster comes with a kick that is very satisfying. The can is very attractive, one in particular being black with neon green and white writing and a green pull tab on the top of the can. Down the front side of the can are neon green claw marks, the logo for the monster drinks. This energy supplement displays its main energy-packing contents across the top ring which include: Taurine, Ginseng, B Vitamins, and also L-Carnitine. Don't forget the necessary caffeine listed within the ingredients list.

I LOVE MONSTER!!!

The Taste. If you've ever had an energy drink, you know that they all taste close to the same, some being better than others. Monster is one of those that tastes great. The first taste may hit you if you aren't used to energy drinks. If you are familiar with them, the first taste will be very satisfying.

The taste of the drink tastes close to a sour gumball or candy and if you aren't a fan of sour/bitter things, then run away. It's not unbearably sour, but it can still pack a punch. The first sip is usually the worst. Towards the bottom of the can, it tends to become stronger. The can is carbonated, thus shaking will not bring positive results. The aftertaste is somewhat odd, and burping after drinking does not leave the most pleasant taste in your nose and mouth. That may sound gross, but we are all humans and it is a natural reaction.

Monster seems to have a good energy kick also. The buzz factor is somewhat noticeable, which helps to improve your stamina and physical performance. Monster Energy comes highly recommended by us here at FactExpert.com. Pick this drink up today!

Monster Energy Drink
Added: 12/17/2002 | Updated: 6/14/2005 9:41:11 AM
BevNET Review:
Monster has been reformulated with an improved taste. Well, we did a side-by-side comparison of the new flavor and the old and we were quite impressed with the new taste. The new flavor is sweeter and the bitter/medicinal finish that we cited in the original formula is gone. This being said, we would definitely put Monster in the upper ranks of great tasting energy drinks. We are extremely happy that Monster made this change and think that it will improve their performance in the market. In addition, it's going to put increased pressure on other companies that still produce harsh tasting formulas.

Khaos Energy Juice
Added: 9/13/2005 | Updated: 9/12/2005 4:28:12 PM
BevNET Review:
Monster absolutely takes the lead in its search for an energy drink that doesn’t taste like a lab experiment. Khaos features a blend of several juices – the effect is sort of like a melted popsicle – that are thick enough to pass for a nectar drink; they do more than just effectively mask the flavor of the energy drink ingredients, they provide a pleasant peach-citrus flavor. By using Splenda and ace-K – only barely perceptible in the flavor mix – Monster also keeps the calories down to 90 per serving (there are two servings in the 16-oz. can). The orange and black “Halloween” colors on the can look a little better than your average energy drink; practically the only drawback is that the thickness of the drink might turn off teenage “energy drink athletes” – but on the flip side, we imagine the juice base has all kinds of on-premise (ahem) possibilities.

Monster Energy Assault
Added: 1/4/2005 | Updated: 1/4/2005 5:07:35 PM
BevNET Review:
Assault is the latest addition to the Monster Energy Drink lineup. Encouraging consumers to "declare war on the ordinary", Assault comes in a distinct camoflauged package that is a first for the category. This dark-colored product has a noticeably more tart flavor than the other Monster varieties, but the base is similar to the original. Consumers that enjoy Monster will definitely enjoy this product. Assault's design is simply not as clean as the other Monster cans, and hopefully does not blend into the background of the cooler shelf. Ultimately, we prefer the original and sugar-free formulations over this one.

Lo-Carb Monster Energy Drink
Added: 10/30/2003 | Updated: 10/30/2003 2:47:43 PM
BevNET Review:
Lo-Carb Monster definitely has some good things going for it. First of all, we think it's extremely wise of them to use the "Lo-Carb" tag line instead of "Diet" -- it sounds much more appealing. In addition, the can design is a good use of the original design -- but only time will tell if consumers will be confused as they are extremely similar. As for the flavor, the low-carb formulation is quite palatable and tastes better than a true sugar free. Obviously, this means that the product cannot be sold to those who cannot consume sugars -- but we still think it will be a hit with the calorie conscious consumer who would like a better tasting product.

I flip over Monster

Review of the Monster Energy Drink

Monster energy drink does everything it can to be like Red Bull. The taste is similar, the ingredients are identical, and they target the male/18-25 demographic. Though, they do have one distinct advantage over Red Bull—quantity. The Monster energy drink comes in a monstrous (pardon the pun) 16 oz. can, whereas Red Bull only offers 8.3 oz cans. So, you’re essentially getting twice the product at the same price ($2 per can).

As stated earlier, Monster’s taste is virtually the same as Red Bull (i.e. carbonated cough syrup). In my experience, the only difference is Monster has a somewhat sweeter aftertaste. This might be due to a higher amount of sugar content.

If you aren’t a fan of the high-sugar Monster, they offer a low sugar/low carbohydrate version (yes, they mimicked Red Bull here too). This is perfect for anyone on a reduced sugar/carb diet. The taste difference between the regular and the low sugar/carb version is pretty much unnoticeable.

Personally, I believe Monster is a very good energy drink and definitely gives you the best bang for your buck.

Of all of the energy drinks that I have ever had, Monster Energy has to be
one of my personal favorites. One of my greatest aspects of this drink
is the excellent taste. It has a sweet yet smooth flavor to it, which is
especially refreshing when drinking it ice cold. Another great aspect of
this drink is the significant boost of energy that it provides. This stuff
kept me going for over two straight hours of physical activity. With an
addictive taste and a solid energy boost, Monster Energy is a drink that any
energy drink addict must try. And for those on a diet, there is also a low
carb version that comes in a black and blue can, as opposed to the original
versions black and green can. The taste difference is barely noticeable.

After this I need Monster.

Monster is a great drink. I am a big fan of Monster for a couple of reasons. Monster costs about as much as redbull and comes in a can that is twice the size. It also imitates redbull very well. I mean the taste is really much like redbull and the energy boost that comes from drinking moster is on par with red bull as well. If you normal go through can after can of redbull buying monster can save you some serious cash. I also really like monster because they are a sponsor of the warped tour, and I love the warped tour. Monster doesn't mix quite a good as rebull with vodka, but it works well enough. The other thing that makes this drink attractive to allot of people is it is pretty easy to find, where as allot of the energy drinks out there can only be found in small local markets. If you can't find monster take a look for Rockstar which is pretty much the same thing with the same taste in a different looking but equally large can.

Alright a new flavor of Monster, I actually like this one better than the original by quite a bit. I am a big fan of this new drink... In fact the only complaint I can even come up with is that I would prefer it with a little less carbonation. It has a very different flavor, that is nothing like any other energy drink out on the market right now. It is a fruity flavored drink but has hints of many other things in it... It almost has a very slight mystical spice to it. Anyways I really liked the flavor, and it is one of the best energy drinks I have had in awhile, I was excited about writing the review for it cause I dug it so much. So much that I might have to lower Monsters rating cause this one is much better in my opinion... hehe. Anyways definitely pumps you up and is in the double size can for the same price as redbull. Seriously I think red bull is going to have to do a large size can soon, cause just for the money all the new drinks are beating redbull out on the quantity of the ingredients that get you pumped up. So yeah this mixes well, tastes great, and pumps you up like all hell. So let it be said that Monster is starting to grow on me as a company.

I have been a devoted MONSTER drinker for 2 years now. I have tried the others but they all taste like ass and don`t have nearly the amount of energy packed in them. I recently went on a diet and was most concerned about having to give up my MONSTER....Lo-Carb MONSTER was the answer! Now I don`t have to give up my sweet sweet nectar of the gods! THANK YOU!

Most Addicting Thing Evar! - Homestar Runner | 06.25.2006
I don`t play sports, ride quads or dirt bikes or anything, but I drink these becaues they taste so good! I drink the green (energy) Monster before drumline/marching band practices and I still feel great after it`s over. This thing beats those skinny Red Bulls and No Fears. Go MONSTER, keep `em coming! You`re the best!

Monster + Snowboarding = Life - Shannon Ruark | 06.20.2006
During one cold morning, my friends and I woke up ungodly early to get ready to go snowboarding all day long. As college kids, we all hate to wake up early. Therefore, we drank several Monster Energy drinks to keep us going. This taste is fantastic and Monster keeps the adrenline pumping through your veins while shredding in some waist-deep powder. Thanks a lot Monster, your drink rocks!

Hi. I am not into sports, but I am a student/wife/mother of 3. I dont buy this drink for the energy it gives (and it does give a powerful punch) but I take it for the concentration I need to soak up any and all information while I am preparing for a test. Im in medical school and this stuff has helped me out so much. I chose this drink for the ginsing. Im cautious about taking pills dur to all the little extras in them. I dont even take tylonol unless emergency! This drink rocks! Dont ever change it. I finally found something that actually works!! Thank you Monster Assault!!!
