Great Bay Distributors, Inc. is Florida's second largest distributor of Anheuser-Busch products, and was founded in 1968 Claude Focardi and family. Great Bay has rapidly become a leading wholesaler in the beer industry – distributing six of the top 10 beers in the Pinellas and West Pasco county markets. Great Bay Distributors operates two distribution centers in the greater Tampa Bay area, including Largo in Pinellas and Holiday in Pasco county. 

The company’s dedication to providing quality Anheuser-Busch products with outstanding customer service has allowed Great Bay Distributors to grow to the second largest beer distributor in the state of Florida. Serving more than 2,500 accounts, Great Bay Distributors sells a variety of beers, including varieties within the Budweiser, Michelob, Busch and Natural families, as well as malt liquors, specialty beers, non-alcoholic beers, imports and now Monster Energy Drinks. The company also distributes Mexican imports with Anheuser-Busch ownership, including the Modelo Brand beers Modelo Negro, Modelo Especial, Pacifico, Corona and Corona Light. With over 120 years of brewing experience, Anheuser-Busch, backed by its wholesalers, strives to use only the finest ingredients when brewing the world’s tastiest beers for its consumers. 

Great Bay has more than 200 employees that work together to service these accounts with responsibilities that include sales, warehousing, marketing, administrative and more. Each team member’s job is essential to the company’s ultimate goal: Elegance in its simplicity to deliver the best.

Community Participation

As part of Great Bay Distributors, employees take pride in the company’s commitment to the community. Great Bay Distributors plays an active role in the communities it serves through participation in a variety of events and organizations. Raising thousand of dollars and contributing to various fundraisers, Great Bay Distributors has supported many non-profit groups such as the American Cancer Society and All Children's Hospital.

Locally, Great Bay Distributors supports ongoing efforts to fight alcohol abuse and underage drinking through Anheuser-Busch Consumer Awareness and Education Programs. Alcohol abuse, drunk driving and illegal underage drinking are not only bad for business, but they are also issues which employees of Great Bay Distributors care about as parents and members of our community. Nationwide, Anheuser-Busch developed the “Know When To Say When” consumer awareness and education program in 1982. This ongoing effort to remind beer drinkers to drink responsibly and to discourage underage drinking is supported through responsible-drinking ads and more than one dozen Consumer Awareness and Education Programs, including motivational speakers, educational videos, brochures and pamphlets.
